CANINE COMMANDOS SPRINT TEAM
A TRACK TEAM FOR PET DOGS
The Canine Commandos is a track team for your pet dog. The only requirement is that your dog likes to run and chase things. NO EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING IS NECESSARY TO START. This is the first team of its type in the nation.
Canine sprinting is the newest and fastest growing canine sport. All dogs can participate. Small, medium or large dogs compete against dogs of their size. Purebreds, mixed breeds and rescues are all welcome.
It is a nationwide program. Starting in April 2022 there will be weekly virtual training sessions. For members in the San Francisco Bay Area there will be monthly in person clinics and time trials.
Team rankings will be done bi-annually. See how your dog’s times compare with other team members through out the nation
It will be a well rounded program. The focus will be on sprinting but will also include trick training, obedience and nose work and more
COMPETITIONS
The Commandos is an independent team and members have the option to compete in AKC FastCAT, UKC precision coursing, steeplechase and drag racing and AOK9 Amateur Dogs racing events. A coach will be in attendance for Northern California events each month. Whether you choose to compete is up to you.
